THE LOUNGE KITTENS : Team Up With The Heavy Metal Truants To Cycle To Download 2017

Having supported the Heavy Metal Truants for several years, appearing at several Monster Rock Auctions and welcoming the riders into Download Festival 2015, the Lounge Kittens finally put their paws to the pedals for this year’s ‘Revenge of the Fifth’ ride.

4 days before taking to the Dogtooth Stage, the ladies will be swapping their sequins for spandex and cycling the 164 miles from London to Donington to raise funds for three great charities, with all proceeds being split equally between Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline. They join Iron Maiden Manager, Rod Smallwood, and the Darklord himself, Alex Milas, as well as other metal fans, band members, media, managers, agents, record labels and music industry heavyweights, all united by a love of heavy metal and a desire to raise money for worthy causes.

The gruelling 3 day ride begins at Alexandra Palace on 7th June and arrives lunchtime on 9th June for the start of the magnificent metal weekend that is Download Festival, with the Kittens performing live on Saturday 10th June. They’ve already started their training and you can check out their progress above.
